The first episode of the Mortal Kombat Legacy web series was just released. Though it wont be winning any Oscars, I still think it's sorta cool. Especially for MK fans. This episode gets things started but I'm looking forward to seeing where they take the series. Check out episode 1 below.

This is a good thing for MK fans, but I rather see the money spent on making this going to make sure that the game is not ass. Holla at me when there's an episode with some titties in it.
The first MK live action adaptation was good fun because there was alot of camp-feel to it and the film didn't take itself too seriously. Here they are tried making the subject matter serious and the final product is looking just plain bad. The first film was an unexpected success in raising the franchise's popularity, and with this new series I think they're trying to emulate that same success they had before, while using the serious/realistic -approach that most of the latest comic book movie adaptations have been taking. I'm not a hater of the MK franchise, I just think they should stick to what they are "best" at.

They should call this Mortal Kombat : Black Ops. Way too much shooting, not enough hand to hand fighting. Plus where is Liu Kang, Cage, Kung Lao and Raiden? You know the "Real" heros of MK.
Jerry Ryan is old......they should have picked someone younger and hotter. Michael Jai White as Jax is spot on, hopefully he will get the cyborg arms later on.
This debut is not going in the right direction, put the guns down !

I'm sorry but I was laughing my ass of the first minute or two! So overly serious. WOW Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager? My personal favorite Star Trek, btw. Kano looks like a regular dude without his laser eye. Guns in Mortal Kombat? Whatever.

The first mortal Kombat movie was the shit. I don't like very man video game --> movie stuff but that one was entertaining. That and prince of persia and the first resident evil movie.
And whats with the comment about guns in Mortal Kombat. Sector uses rockets and stryker actually uses guns. Your just looking for shit to hate lol.
