SC5 Test Match: Yoshimitsu VS Harada

This is the first time I've watched this game being played by someone who knows what they are doing and I am impressed. I'm pretty sure the "Harada" character is only available in Create a Soul mode, So I'm not sure if he will be tournament legal. Regardless, this was an interesting match.

I've seen a leaked achievement list in the net, and there was the following one:
Pursuit of Obsession 15
Quick Battle: defeat Harada TEKKEN.

Guess that means that Harada TEKKEN is the CPU boss. Guess the're actually trying to make AI interesting.

don't get why devil jin and harada are preemptively banned by 8wayrun. i understand that the CAS stuff is banned because of the console specific stuff, but harada and devil jin are universal and look fun as shit.

doesn't seem prudent to ban something that can be selected by anyone on either system outside of the fact that you have to go into the CAS menu, unless there is something i am absolutely missing from this equation.

lol, very entertaining. Back dash cancels, fake bounds, and there was even a move that looked like a FADC. I hope this game is good.

The reason Harada and CaS styles are banned is because there is no standard for their hitbox. If a Namco representative came out and specifically said that such and such CaS model is the appropriate hitbox for Devil Jin's style, and stated that they intend for the style to be used competitively, nobody would have an issue with allowing them in tournaments.

So that 'bdc' for Yoshi works more like a haha step.

Looks to me like they have sped up the pace.

Also, I wonder if Harada did his own voice-acting.

At least I'm a bit interested in this game now..

Yoshi could really use those moves in Tekken, love the jf recovery stuff that heals his health or makes him lose health if done wrong thats the kind of risk/reward style he should have cause in Tekken hes just extremely braindead and uneffective at the same time. I wasn't too sure about getting SC5 but after watching Yoshimitsu in action I would be dumb to miss out on it.

Yoshimitsu is braindead in Tekken? The fuck are you talking about? No one counts on mindgames and gimmics like him.

@Watafag

Hes prettty braindead compared to his SC counterpart, what does Yoshi have that makes him so special in Tekken 6 BR? His stances are just pitiful they simply dont instill fear into your opponent and makes them think like lets say Lei's stances does. Let me ask you what would you fear more getting rushed down by a Lei in panther stance or a Yoshi in fucking kincho/flea/copter stance, he really doesn't feel special like he does in SC. That timer based Iron Fist Posession alone seems pretty gimmicky and his transitions makes more sense.

Hell in SCIV he had that harakiri from IND stance his spins have 2 different versions with a possible recovery instead of falling down after last hit, iMCF looks interesting I can go on forever but I really can't think of anything when it comes to Yoshi in T6 BR. I haven't even played SC at a serious level but from what i've seen so far I can surely say that he looks scarier in the SC series. To make the braindead part abit clearer im talking about learning curve hes pretty easy to learn when it comes to inputs and juggles and that in my opinion makes him feel generic I hear that iMCF is pretty tough to pull off but it sure does look rewarding as it can be used in wall combos as seen in the video above.
