EVO 2014 - Game Lineup Announced, Tekken is out.

MrWizard just announced the EVO 2014 game lineup on an episode of The Fray on Iplaywinner and it turns out that Tekken is out. The full lineup that you'll see this year at the tournament is Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Killer Instinct, BlazBlue: Chronophantasma and finally Super Smash Bros Melee but that game's appearance has to be confirmed by Nintendo first. No Tekken at EVO this year.

Lol, this game has a ridiculous amount of players. It's played WORLDWIDE not just in the states (compared to the other games on the lineup), but it doesn't make EVO. You know why???

because no one wants to come out :( :( :(, sad.

Well, at least I have KOFXIII to look forward to. Never take that game out of Evo. Oh, and of course, Ultra Sutorito Faita 4. TTT2 has been out for 2 years and it's been dropped. SF4 has been "evolving" ever since 2008 and it always gets a guaranteed place at Evo.

Maybe Harada does have to make expansions for the game to be kept alive. Everybody will be super hyped.

Tekken 7 - New characters, whatever.
Tekken 7: Electric Edition - Featuring John Kazama and Suzy Mishima (with extremely revealing clothes, of course)
Tekken 7: Instant Butterfly Electric Edition - NEW KYARAKUTA - Sexy Female Tekken Force character, previously abandoned, now playable! New costumes! Balance patches!
Tekken 7: Instant Butterfly Electric Mach Breaker Edition - Hey, guys, we found out we made Yoshimitsu's hopkick +12 on block instead of -12, so... BALANCE PATCH YO! New costumes! 4 new kyarakuta! (Ganryu with a wavedash = Ganmi-chan, Lars with an electric = Tougou, Shin Kamiya, who swings his arms and hurts himself, oh and top tier Salmon)
Tekken 7: Instant Butterfly Electric Mach Breaker Shining Finger Hellsweep Ultimax Ultimate Ultimatum Ultiminimum Ultramate Suplexcent DDT Devil Laz0r Power Edition: 5 new kyarakuta!!! 3 Laws, 1 Lili and a MYSTERIOUS 5TH KYARAKUTA WOW WOW!! New clothes! New music! New stages! New clothing-ripping mechanic! Every female character gets boob surgery! NEW OKI MECANIC = CRAWL ON THE GROUND! Exciting new options!
Also, balance patch because we made Ganmi's electric a guard break move... oh and Viola from SCV is in the game... we didn't want that! OOPS - NEW EDITION TEKKEN 7 INSTANT BUTTERFLY ELECTRIC MACH BREA-......EXCELLENT MAX EDITION! Only for the most EXCELLENT Tekken fans.

No 3D fighting game at all? Neither VF5FS or SCV? Really sad!

Don't blame the community. American's are happy to come out of the house for SF4

Well if Evo wants to be a solid WORLD tournament, then it should stop omitting games that are see strong numbers around the world. Tekken in the US isn't deserving of an evo spot because of the lack of players coming out, BUT the rest of the world is still big on it.

Fuck EVO.

…and they'd need let's say a month to turn TTT2 into a jewel.. but hey.. I think someone said frame data are better not to be shown. This is the trend. Tekken players are still studying, that's why no one is prepared for a tournament..

It's a vicious circle

Players don't come out and so 3D games are shafted at Evo. Evo is the world tournament so new players learn about and get into games but don't even consider 3D games because they don't see or know anything.

Maybe T7 will not even be enough to reinvigorate North Americans at this point

Good riddance! TTT2 sucks ass! Harada must be stupid thinking anyone would use this amount of studying and practicing a videogame to play it at even mediocre level.

What Harada needs to do is rethink tekken altogether. From poor sales, to ttt2 early death at Evo. Something just isn't working for casuals or tournament players, since some have stopped playing the game.
