TTT2 - PS3/X360 World Tekken Federation Service to End

The official JP Tekken Tag Tournament 2 website was recently updated to include a new notification that mentions that the World Tekken Federation online service will be coming to an end on the first of September this year. Since this online service is so deeply integrated with the online functionality of the console Tekken Tag Tournament 2 games, several features such as searching for replays, team creations, replay & ghosts downloading as well as web access to the World Tekken Federation website will all be affected. You can read the notification of WTF service closure for yourself below.

Wow, this is complete bull shit. Is this how they feel? Not good for loyal fans I can testify to that .

After like 2 months, I've lost complete interest in this site, so I don't really care about this.

People voted with their wallet. You don't want free DLC, good online and plenty of content in general? Well ok then, here's Tekken Revolution.

Namco hasn't had any shits to give about TTT2 since the last DLC/bug fix patch.

Crappy support at major tourneys.
Crappy regionals (1 arcade in ALL OF AMERICA, really? Console tourneys are too hard?)
UNFINISHED TTT2. Hitboxes and other issues remain.
Instead of supporting / promoting TTT2, they give us this half-assed watered down garbage, TR.

Namco, you deserve to fail.

Let's tweet Mr. Harada about this????? :'(

To be fair this Tekken World Federation was rather limited and amusing for a few weeks at best, not sure if I will miss it when it goes. Not unlike the halo stats page when I was playing halo 2, after a while I stopped turning up. Not sure about you guys but I'm too busy enjoying playing TTT2 with my friends to worry about a stats webpage.

I think we will have a divided Tekken community just like we had at the TTT -> T4 era. There's no way I'm gonna stay playing TR seriously. It's a half-assed game.

This is going to suck for the Tekken Australia guys since they built extended reporting and statistics based on the WTF data, harada should get them to keep it going

Wow... so quick.

wait so when i play online it won't record any more? or am I derp?

I cant believe Namco is doing this . instead of supporting a fan service game like TTT2 , they force you too stop playing it and get the free PS3 TR crap . which is a bad version of TTT2 with come street fighter features for the next game .

We're currently looking into what we can do. Worst case scenario is that our data will be a memorial to the service that once was. If Harada wants to pass the flame on, we'll do it.

Guys, guys you can still play TTT2 online and offline without the Tekken world stats page, did it really improve your tekken experience?

Friday, August 2, 2013 at 3:19 AM | Unregistered CommenterComradechef

It's like saying that our service is a crap, or even that out game is crap, so we decided to stop supporting this game.
Tekken should go in another way if we want to have exciting fighting title. Transition like T2 - T3 and T3-T4 i is necessary...
Or Namco is preparing release Tekken X Street Fighter?

Faster than I speculated. I wish TR's event-oriented model won't affect their overall game quality, which is already not good enough.

The most amusing thing about WTF was the initials. I looked the sit twice ..maybe. TTT2 is still the deepest fighting game available.
