NorCal StrongStyle Returns February 10-11, 2018

And it's back! StrongStyle 2018 is taking place February 10/11, 2018 at the DoubleTree by the Hilton Hotel in San Jose, California. It's been 3 years since the last StrongStyle event but this dedicated Tekken tournament series will see Tekken 7 being played when it comes back in early 2018. Team Spooky and the 10/0 team will be organizing the production behind the event with EightArc and Qanba USA sponsoring the event. In the words of NSS subt-L, this event will be streamed live this time so you won't miss it but you'll still want to be in the event in person. Can personally confirm, StrongStyle~5 was a great event looking back at Tekken Tag Tournament 2's life. Look out for more news and info on the tournament later as we get closer to the date. For now, check out the Strongstyle 2018 teaser video.

The Fall Classic 2017 - Tekken 7 Tournament YouTube Archives

The Fall Classic was the latest stop in the Tekken World Tour as a Master tier event so a lot of points were on the line this past weekend. Earning 1st place in this tournament awards a grand 150 points contributing to the regional leaderboards which pretty much makes the winner an almost guaranteed shoe-in for the TWT Grand Finals. Among the players entered into Tekken 7 were Mr Naps, Speedkicks, PokChop, Joey Fury, Spero Gin and a whole lot more. The official YouTube archives for The Fall Classic are up on YouTube so here are the VODs if you wanted to re-watch all the action.

Tekken 7 Version 1.08 Update Changes Player Info in Ranked Again

Image credit for the above goes to @Alphasilverhawk on twitter. A new update for the home versions of Tekken 7 is now available and going by Harada's word includes bug fixes and quicker load times for stages and in online matches. The full patch notes for this update are live via the PS4 system menu and including all of the above, there's also minor adjustments made to the online tournament mode and Tekken bowling mode. All in all, it's not a major patch but rather some quick fixes for the game. You can read the full notes as it is written down below.

The Reason Why JDCR Plays Dragunov in Tekken 7

Here's a short but straight to the point video clip for you if you happen to have been googling the aforementioned. While you're here, have a casual reminder that the PlayStation 4 version of Tekken is still currently the most laggiest in terms of input response time platform to play Tekken 7 on with the PC and even the Xbox One beating it in prior testing. Here's to hoping the PS4 version gets that issue sorted out in the future, if it even can at all. The Twitch clip below comes from JDCR's recent Twitch stream that was on earlier today.
