Wondering what was going on in the reveal trailer for Soul Calibur 6? Word from Bandai Namco have come down to describe the new battle system in place for this time around. SC6 features a mechanic called the 'Reversal Edge' and it is described as a way for combatants to clash against each other and be able to perform powerful counterattacks based on the opponent's action. Soul Calibur 6 is said to take place during the 16th century and will revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR. Both new and old fighters will be featured in the roster with our first two confirmed characters being Mitsurugi & Sophitia. Soul Calibur 6 is slated to release for PS4/XB1 & PC in 2018. Geese Howard, Instant Rematch in Player Matches & Input Lag Updates Coming Soon

UPDATE: Stream archive with timestamp added.

Amidst all the hubbub of the newly announced Noctis guest character, it's important to bring forward that during the announcement stream, both Harada and Murray made comments towards upcoming updates for Tekken 7. We did not get an exact date for the release of Geese Howard however he is currently undergoing examinations from 1st parties so expect him to drop on console and Steam real soon once they have been completed. Instant Rematching in Player Lobbies was the next topic with them saying that they're planning on implementing this in an upcoming future update to the game, so they do hear you on that. Last but not least was the Input Lag currently in the game. They remarked that they're currently working with Epic to make changes to help reduce the input lag. No word on how long that will take since it is a big undertaking on their end however they hope to have it out 'within the year.' Those were the other news presented from the stream and I'll have up the archive from the Twitch stream after the finals are over.

Tekken 7 FR Update Ver.Q Adds Console Stages to the Arcades

The arcade version of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is getting a new online update on the 14th of November and it is said to be bringing new stages to that version of the game. Listed in the Tekken Official notice for the new update, Version Q will be bringing over three stages that are from the console/PC release of Tekken 7. The three stages making their way to the arcade side are G.CORP Helipad (Day), Violet Systems & Infinite Azure. Although there are way more stages in the console version that are still not in the arcade version, the update mentions that there are plans to add in more stages from the home version eventually so look forward to that if you happen to play in arcades. Especially since the Arena stage was featured in the Lars NJPW costume trailer. Apart from that, not much else to say about the update since it contains no balance changes. For the source on the update notice including images of the three stages, check out the official Tekken website:
