SoulCalibur VI dev team talk game balance and future updates

Update: The official English translation of the topics discussed on this stream are now up on the Bandai Namco EU website.

When it comes to transparency and being receptive to fan feedback, the team behind SoulCalibur VI have been pretty on the ball to all the comments they read on social media and in the player surveys. The entire balancing act between creating a Fighting game with a vision in mind and catering to the player communities is a difficult undertaking in itself which is what they were here to discuss on stream. Appearing live on the Dengeki YouTube channel this past evening was SoulCalibur VI's Producer Motohiro Okubo, the Director Masteru and the Battle Director Oosaka as they sit down and outline their current balancing philosophy and answer questions from the community. The stream was entirely done in Japanese but here are some quick notes from the presentation.

Soul Calibur 6 PC - Live Frame Data Overlay

Rejoice! We now have access to the data Bandai Namco doesn't want you to see. Scuffle has been hard at work taking the code used in the Tekken Bot Prime frame data overlay app and creating a specific version for use in the PC version of Soul Calibur 6. Of course, since this is the initial release of the app, there are bound to be some errors here and there but this is good news for finding frame data in SC6. To quickly mention, the overlay only works in Windowed or Borderless windowed mode like in Tekken Bot Prime so do take note. You can download the Live Frame Data Overlay app right now over on Github:

Soul Calibur 6 - PlayStation 4 & Xbox One Network Test Survey

The online network test hasn't officially commenced but a survey is available for people to eventually fill out. This will be your window to tell the developers how your experience with the network test went and to report any bugs you found within the game. The survey link comes from the official Japanese Soul Calibur 6 web page and an English survey link was provided alongside the Japanese survey. The PlayStation and Microsoft store in certain regions has already been updated with the Soul Calibur 6 Network Test client so get to it if you want to pre-load it and get ready for the weekend of Souls and Swords.

Soul Calibur 6 - Cervantes Battle Director Comment
