Arcadia Fighting Game REMIX 4/18 Issue Tier List

Arcadia's lastest edition of it's dedicated fighting game Magazine (or Mook I should rather say) is mainly focused on the recent release of Ultra Street Fighter IV but it does have some interesting discussion on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in there. It features written reports of both MASTERCUP.6 and Matador Cup 5 tournaments as well as a TTT2 tier list made by Japan's Fukushi and Furumizu and a small author introductory piece by Zeugaru on using Ogre's 'concealing moves.' Since only the tier list got posted online onto 2ch for the Japanese to read, I've gone ahead and translated it into English for everyone else to read. You can check it out below!

■ Playing Jin and Eddy/Christie Guides

・ Performing blocks after using Jin's Mental Alertness Cancels.

・ Tips on guarding against Eddy & Christie's offense and mix-ups

**FW:** The issue features extensive details on the above, it just wasn't copied and pasted on the internet. I assume so since most people can just look those up on YouTube.

■ Picking partner characters for Jin and Eddy/Christie

・ Jin
On his own, Jin's combo damage is very low. So when selecting Jin it's essential that you look for a partner character who can raise Jin's combo damage. Fortunately, Jin has great tag launchers such as CD+1 (Left Upper) & ws+2 which you should utilize their ability to tag out of every chance you land them. Some recommended characters to partner Jin for example would be the likes of Nina, Bruce or Lei who have great solo combo damage. Nina especially since she also has a positive Netsu affinity with Jin allowing quicker Rage for both characters. Combining Nina's solo combo damage with Rage as well as Jin's tag launcher options possibly makes this an optimized team in TTT2.

・ Eddy/Christie

To start things off, this team in itself is already really good. But when you're looking for a different partner character for either of those characters, you should look for characters that can get good combo damage off the strong CH b+1,4 combo as well as during combos where tag launchers like ws+1,3 or b+3,3 are used in the least. Furthermore, Eddy/Christie have certain bad match-ups on their own so you'll need a partner character that can do well against characters Eddy/Christie may have trouble dealing with. For example since it can be difficult for Capoieras to deal with Bob and JACK-6, it's recommended to pick partner characters like Armor King, Devil Jin or Lars to deal with them.

■ Other Tekken Articles in the Mook:

・ Mastercup.6 & Matador Cup 5 reports and interviews with the winning teams

・ Character usage rates in the Tournaments

・ Introductory piece written by Zeugaru on using Ogre's moves that conceals himself and make it difficult for an opponent to see what you are doing.

I wonder if the original article had shed some light the "partner dependant" part of Anna being in B+. Other than Nina, I am not certain as to who else are the better partners for Anna.

Vargus - the usual suspects. But kinda important to be able to tag combo of FC f2, d32~5 to up the damage imo which might be one of the things it points towards

Not sure why lots of people claim Asuka is at least one tier higher than Jun?
Doesn't Asuka have the worst 10f and I seem to be able to combo better off of Jun.
