Summer Lesson X Tekken 7 Collaboration Announced for the Arcades

Update: The official video trailer for the collaboration from Tekken channel has now been added.

Summer Lesson and Tekken 7 Fated Retribution are coming together to throw a collaboration for the arcades. Starting from April 4 after Tekken 7 receives the Ver. T update, players can play T7FR and log-on to Tekken-net to receive a set a of Summer Lesson collaboration customizations for most of the female cast in the roster. The costumes will see all the characters attached with the looks of the three current Summer Lesson characters; Hikari, Allison & Chisato. There's also some Summer Lesson related interface customizations like lifebars and player plates that can also be obtained and equipped. The Summer Lesson x T7FR collab was announced during the Kelot Cup 5 stream which unfortunately has archives locked to subscribers but, here are twitch clips and screenshots of the announcement.

New Lars Costume & Theme Revealed in 3rd Arcade T7FR x NJPW Collaboration

A 3rd collaboration between Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution and New Japan Pro Wrestling has come to light through a new trailer. Lars Alexandersson is getting a new in-game costume inspired by Hiroshi Tanahashi and it comes with an entirely new Rage Art animation 'Sling Blade' as well as the 'LOVE&ENERGY' theme that'll play when you use the outfit. The collaboration will start in the Japanese Tekken-net starting from the 18th of November so be out on the look out for that if you happen to have access to those arcade cabinets. No word yet on if this will come to console/PC Tekken 7 but it might in the future seeing as the King x NJPW costume did make it into the game. You can check out the NJPW Lars costume trailer below.

Tekken 7 is Getting Free DLC Taiko no Tatsujin Items and Eliza on July 28th

Announced on the MASTERCUP Tekken Fight club nico stream were relatively minor stuff. The pre-order DLC character Eliza is being made available for separate purchase for people who didn't pre-order Tekken 7 for 500 yen which is roughly around $5 USD. She'll be available for purchase on the PlayStation store, Xbox Marketplace and Steam store on July 28th. Next up are free DLC customization items from the previous Taiko no Tatsujin collaboration with 10 pieces of customization to download. They're all old stuff from the arcade version of Tekken 7 but it features Taiko characters with hit & sound effects to equip on your characters. You'll be able to download the free DLC items also on July 28th alongside the public release of Eliza. If you happen to have a niconico premium (lol), you can re-watch the niconico stream over here:

Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution X NJPW Collaboration Campaign

At the recent New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) festival event in Tokyo came further announcements on the arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution collaboration which was announced back at the King of Iron Fist 2016 Grand Finals. The big one is that players can personalise King in Tekken 7 FR as the Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada himself in game. With the upcoming Tekken-net campaign, playing enough games will you get you the items for King and once you fully equip everything, you unlock the Rainmaker special Rage Art for King to use. There's also shirts to unlock for every other character including a Heihachi x NJPW & Bullet Club T-shirts. The trailer showcasing the T7FR x NJPW collaboration is now up for viewing.

Titan Set to Publish Tekken 7 Tie-In Comics in 2017 

This just in from New York's Comic-Con event, Titan Comics is set to publish a series of Tekken story related comics in 2017. Details are scare at the moment but the comic series will feature appearances of certain Tekken characters like Heihachi Mishima, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams and Paul Phoenix. The Tekken related comics are said to tie into the new game as it comes out in early 2017. The creative team behind the newly announced Tekken comics have not been revealed just yet but another announcement on the comics is said to be around the corner. News on the Tekken 7 tie-in comics is reported from Comic Book and Twitter user @FreddieMKR.
