SCLS - Viewer Vote For Next Character

For those who didn't watch the '876 Minute' broadcast by Bandai Namco on niconico that I detailed earlier, you didn't really miss much. Soul Calibur's current lead producer Masaaki Hoshino gets on the broadcast at around the 10 hour mark and talks about his games and play a couple round of Soul Calibur 2 HD with the broadcast hosts. The most notable thing of course was holding a poll during the niconico stream that viewers can vote for which characters they would like to see in Soul Calibur Lost Swords. The vote had the options of 4 characters - Amy, Cassandra, Seong Mina and Rock. In the short period that the poll was open, viewers went with Amy to win the poll with 39.7% of the votes. I wouldn't worry too much if the character you wanted to see added to that game wasn't voted for, all these characters were up for consideration and may show up in the title eventually.

SCLS - Collect Fragments of Soul Edge to Get a School Blazer

Bandai Namco released new details of an upcoming in-game event for Soul Calibur Lost Swords to several Japanese gaming websites. This new update announces a competition 'Ranking event' that allows player to earn fragments of Soul Edges in quests which will eventually yield a School Blazer for your character in the game. If you happen to have the currently Japanese only version of the game, the period in which the event will be live is from the 26th of March and runs until the 9th of April. For those wondering when Soul Calibur Lost Swords will come out in US/EU regions, the game is still slated for Spring 2014.

Soul Calibur II HDO - New Update Available

Namco today announces a new update for the HD Online edition of Soul Calibur II on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The announcement came through the official SoulCalibur facebook page and details the improved online matching service, fixes for notable character bugs like the Cervantes' Guard Impact crash and gameplay balance adjustments. The announcement mentions that the update to the game is to be 'deployed' shortly so by the time you read this it will probably be available (If not check back in a day).

Soul Calibur Lost Swords Trailer

NAMCO BANDAI Games has released a promotional video for the upcoming single-player only, PS3 game: Soul Calibur Lost Swords. The trailer shows some of the features you can expect to see in the game and reminds everyone of the elemental stats and loot based gameplay. The game is scheduled to be released on Japanese PSN on February 6, 2014 with no word yet if US/EU getting the game or even a beta test.

Japanese SoulCalibur II HD Online Tier List (1/31)

This is a tier list that was posted onto the internet by Michang who is a Japanese Soul Calibur player that I translated. Although Japan hasn't received the game in Japanese yet, (maybe some differences from say SC2 JP to PAL?) this might spark some interesting discussion and I hope to see more of this game from Japan when more of the players get access to it.
