TEKKEN 7 Arcade Tournament at EVO 2015 Announced

From the recent EVO announcement twitch stream, Markman joined onto the show to announce that Bandai Namco is working on getting TEKKEN 7 arcade cabinets at EVO 2015 and the cabs will feature pad ports so players can use their own choice of controller for the tournament. Full compatibility with every kind of device however is not guaranteed so be aware of that should you decide to bring an obscure kind of controller. Tekken 7 joins the lineup alongside Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, Guilty Gear Xrd, Persona 4 Arena, Super Smash WiiU and Melee, Mortal Kombat X & Killer Instinct.

Namco Sugamo 'Megane Off' Tekken Competition Match Videos

Back on new year's eve last year, Namco Sugamo hosted a tournament run by the resident Lee/Jin player Shudy. The Megane (lit. 'Glasses') Off ran TTT2 arcades with a new format of team tournament with the player pairings based on a system of 'Ratio' levels. The 4 ratio levels are simply based on the ranks each player has and then the teams were formed to balance out the skill level. Lower ratio players had higher number of players on their team while the higher ratio players had less players on their team or be by themselves. You can see a ratio 4 team (just Nobi) VS a team of 4x Ratio 1 players on the image above. The event was not streamed but Shudy got around to uploading the match footage on his YouTube channel. The videos were recorded with Namco Sugamo recording equipment so expect the usual booty nico quality.

Kumite In Tennessee 2015 | Fighting Game Tournament Live Stream

Kumite in Tennessee 2015 is happening this weekend with most of the Tekken action happening today over on Nycfab's Twitch channel. Pools are being streamed with different commentators for each pools I believe. Sluch & Christian will commentate Pool 1, Pokchop and Clint for Pool 2, Kodee & StillElectric for Pool 3, Fab and Inkog for Pool 4 and top 16 by WayGamble and Icege. Then on Sunday, top 8 will be streamed with the Exalted and Big Jio commentating on stream. Be sure to tune in to the event live if you can!
