Negan in Tekken 7 - Day 1 Discovery Compilation

Edit: That's a wrap for Launch day for Negan. Thanks everyone that sent in stuff.

Launching today is Tekken 7's DLC #09, Negan from The Walking Dead. Negan is a brand new guest character to the Tekken series so who knows how he'll fare in the Tekken world. The Negan featured here takes after the likeness of Jeffrey Dean Morgan from the TV show and I hear they even got the actor to do the voice of the character in Tekken 7. If you're not familiar with the TV series, Negan is a brutal but charismatic villain kind of character that enjoys killing his victims with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire. Taking after the Julia Chang post, I'll be using this post to collect and consolidate most of what is found out about the character when he gets in the hands of players. If you have something that you want in here or shared with everyone else, feel free to chuck it in the comments or tweet/DM it to me on Twitter.

Julia Chang in Tekken 7 - Day 1 Discovery Compilation

Edit: That's a wrap for Julia's launch day. Thanks everyone that sent in stuff.

Launching today is Tekken 7's DLC #08, Julia Chang. Last playable in Tekken Revolution under her "Jaycee" persona, she returns to Tekken 7 with a new look and the specialty of being a live streamer. Like most other character launch days, there's usually a big stream of character findings posted online when players finally get their hands on the new character.  Most of what gets discovered tends to get lost after a period of time so I'll be using this post to collect and consolidate most of what is found. If you happen to have something that you want in here or shared with everyone else, feel free to chuck it in the comments or tweet/DM it to me on Twitter.

Soul Calibur 6 - Videos and findings from Consumer Electronics Show 2018

Soul Calibur 6 was playable this past week at the Razer Booth in CES 2018 and some people that were present over there managed to go in deeper with the game to report their findings. Not a whole lot of gameplay footage was captured but we got in depth gameplay findings thanks to Futabot over on the 8wayrun forums. UltraTien managed to record a few of their matches at the booth so check it out if you want to see more gameplay footage of the game at the event. I've also added below gameplay impressions from Sajam so check that out if you're interested in seeing how he feels about the game so far. You can find all the CES SC6 findings & media compiled below.

Findings from Noodalls - Tekken 7 has less input lag on XB1 than PS4

Well this is a little awkward isn't it? Noodalls tested out the input lag on the Xbox One versions of Tekken 7 and as it turns out, it in fact has less overall input lag than the PlayStation 4 Pro version. In the previous findings, Tekken 7 on the PS4 measured at 120.1 ms (7.2 frames) with the PS4 Pro matching that. On the Xbox One version of Tekken 7 however, the game was measured to have 104.2ms (6.2 frames) so that is a 1 frame difference between the two consoles. This marks an unusual precedent since historically Tekken games have always been played on the PlayStation versions competitively. Do tournaments now use the XB1 version? Or is everyone content on playing on the PS4? Once again, big thanks goes to Noodalls for the findings, added below is the YouTube video he recently put up testing the two versions.

Findings from Noodalls - Tekken 7 Input Lag Averages at 7.2 Frames

For comparison sake, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on PS3 measured at 95.1ms (5.7 frames) for input lag compared to recently tested Tekken 7 which was found at 120.1ms (7.2 frames). Big thanks goes to Noodalls for testing the frames out and posting them on his twitter,  I laid out the tweets with his findings below. If you're interested in further fighting game input lag data or Noodall's methodology, you can check out his thread over on SRK's forum.
