Summary of Upcoming Balances Changes in Soul Calibur 6 Ver 1.11 from Dengeki Broadcast

Soul Calibur 6 is expected to get more balance changes in the upcoming Version 1.11 patch so the dev team recently took the time to break down some of the things to expect in a live stream with Dengeki Online. You see the game's producer, director and battle system director go through every character and detail some of the things to either, fix or correct, in relation to the character designs. The team also describes their development philosophies for SC6 which is interesting to know if you're curious as to what their reasoning for some of the changes is. There's also a brief comment of the next DLC pack in the Season Pass which happens to be a Customization Pack featuring over 100 pieces and some new BGM to use in Soul Calibur 6. The stream is archived on YouTube but it's in Japanese so you have Arika_ex over on Reddit to thank for taking the time to translate and summarize all the main bits covered in the stream.

Tekken X Street Fighter is Currently 'Pending', Development is at 30%

The Tekken x Street Fighter project is still alive, somewhere in the depths of Bandai Namco Entertainment's studio offices. While the current priorities for the Tekken team are focusing on the ongoing support for Tekken 7, the vision for the 3D cross-over between the two franchises is still in a comatose state; the game has not been seen at all since it's announcement back at San Diego Comic-Con of 2010. We've gotten piecemeal bits of info about it before but the latest for TxSF comes from Harada during the live stream for Kuro Kuro's year-end Tekken drinking party. In his words, Tekken x Street Fighter is still 'Pending', which is pretty much another way of saying that the title is 'on hold' in terms of priority. The development of Tekken x Street Fighter currently sits at the 30% mark so there is still a long way to go. While reading and answering the chat, Harada also briefly spoke about some other topics. For those asking about a third Season Pass for Tekken 7, he answered that it could happen, depending on the sales of the previous Season Passes. On the potential of a Switch release of Tekken 7, that is dependent on the demand from fans so let them know if you're interested in seeing that happen. If you want to check out the full sit-down and chat session with Harada from the party, you can find the archive over on Kuro Kuro's Twitch channel.

Soul Calibur 6 Live Frame Data Reader Updated with 2B Compatibility

Happy 2B day, SCUFFLE has made quick work on his live frame data reader app to update it with the latest patch. This app is mostly based off the work done from Tekken Bot Prime so it works in the same way; fire this up alongside the game running in a windowed mode and you have frame data streaming in real time. You can download the latest version of the program over on Scuffle's Github releases page: (Click the 'Assets' tab if it doesn't automatically show you the zip file.)

Rumor: Internal SC6 File Contains Character References to Cassandra & Amy

Seems like we may have accidentally stumbled upon our two next DLC characters coming to Soul Calibur 6? According to some people who have cracked open the recently recalled 1.10 update, both Amy Sorel and Cassandra Alexandra are both explicitly referenced inside a specific config file in the game. This particularly sticks out because they both don't actually have character models and are listed alongside everyone else that are either playable or encounterable in a Story Battle. They also happen to be listed under DLC2 & DLC3 respectively. I've personally heard accounts of these file references existing but since the update is no longer available for the time being, I have no real method to check if it's real myself. If you happen to still have the update on hand, you can verify the references inside the file yourself with a bit of googling know-how. Just to leave this with a warning note though, this is all speculation and rumour-milling for the time being and does not confirm their inclusions.

Soul Calibur 6 Players Hit with Online Bans Due to Bug in Version 1.10

Update #2: Version 1.10.1 of Soul Calibur 6 is now out on Steam with 2B playable. Enjoy, this version is currently the latest with playable 2B and fixes all the online issues and bugs.

Update: Soul Calibur 6 on Steam has now been reverted to the previous 1.02 version due to the bug. If you had not downloaded 1.10, you're game will work as usual. Players that were on version 1.10 will now be prompted to re-download files to revert the game version.

A lot of reports are coming in from players on the PC version of Soul Calibur 6 that they are getting randomly banned. It's being tossed around that accessing any of the online modes after the 1.10 Update causes players to be hit with a ban message. The bug is also said to be affecting the use of any online functions at all like accessing the leaderboards or turning on the standby feature in the training mode. We've already heard that the dev team are already aware of this fatal bug but for the time being, keep the game offline to avoid any issues until a fix is out.
