Tekken Zaibatsu scheduled to shut down soon

As you may have already heard, Castel is finally pulling the plug on the Tekken Zaibatsu website after 20 years of operation. TZ has long served as the central location on the net for the English speaking Tekken community with years of news, gameplay info, regional gatherings, competitive rivalry/beef, tournament updates, community content like combo videos, artworks, fanfics and so much more to mention.

While the book is being closed on Tekken Zaibatsu soon, the years of history and experiences that came from it lives on in every Tekken fan that began their Tekken journey there. As for where we go next, it is in the hands of the Tekken community to keep the spirit and community alive. Shoutouts to Castel for maintaining Tekken Zaibatsu throughout the years. You can visit the TZ thread to see the closing notice and emotional farewells from the community:

Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution to end network services March 26, 2020

After three years of operation in the arcade sector, Bandai Namco is pulling the plug on T7FR's network service early next year. Arcades that operate cabinets of the game but did not buy the Round 2 USB upgrade are to be taken offline disabling the use of Banapassport cards and certain online game functionality. The game will still be playable offline but features like player and ranking data, character customization and online match-making will no longer be available come March 26, 2020. The Round 2 version of the game on the other hand, is set to receive a big content update in Spring of 2020. Full details on T7FR's network termination can be found on the notice posted to the Tekken-Official website:

Tekken-Net Service for Vanilla Arcade Version of Tekken 7 Coming to an End on May 31

A Tekken-net service closure notice for the original Tekken 7 release in arcades is coming to an end on May 31st, Bandai Namco announces. The 'Vanilla' release of the game which is the version of the game that came before the 'Fated Retribution' update will have online network functionality shut down and an update patch to enable simple offline play. This will not affect most of the Tekken playing audience at home with the Console/Steam version or arcades with Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, this will discontinue the online network for the original Tekken 7. This includes some parts of Asia that haven't updated to FR yet, or regions in South East Asia and Oceania which were unable to get the updated version of the game since Bandai Namco decided to not offer it to them. Come May 31, those vanilla Tekken 7 cabinets will no longer allow online matchmaking, Banapass card functionality and Tekken-net online website services. You can check out the details of the closure over on Tekken-Net.

Tekken 7 Online Status Update for Matchmaking Issues after Version 1.12

After almost a week and a half since the Noctis update to Tekken 7 came out, the Tekken team finally acknowledges the broken online matchmaking from the update. Version 1.12 which was said to bring online adjustments on top of the DLC guest character inclusion had in effect caused waiting times in Tekken 7 to take far longer or worse, resulted in players not being able to find any matches at all. The tip to get around that which was being passed around was to reset the search by turning off the game and killing the game process in task manager before hopping back in again. The status update on these issues mention that they plan to change the online servers settings for Tekken 7 on PS4. They're still investigating issues with the Steam version of the game but also mention that they're planning a patch to hopefully solve these issues. You can find the status update tweets over on the Tekken Project account.

Official Tekken 7 Online Ban Notice for Rage Quitters, Boosters & Hackers

Tekken 7 on Steam was updated a day ago with a 110.3 MB sized update and it seems to be the time to remind people going forward about the online terms of service. Going by the measures to address online violations notice which was posted on the Bandai Namco EU website back on Feb 8, I think the recent Steam update might be related (If it isn't, feel free to clear things Bandai Namco?). Although I don't know the extent of which this will actually prevent Rage quitters, boosting or people hacking unusable characters or stages into the online, the capabilities to warn and ban players are there going by some early reports on Steam. If you need a link to the official online notice for Tekken 7, here's a link as well as some quick quotes from the game's EULA of activities that could land you into trouble.
