Console / PC Versions of Tekken 7 is Getting An Online Tournament Mode

[Update] Hi-res images of the Online Tournament mode have now been added.

Also unveiled during the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2016 Tekken stream is news that the Console / PC version of Tekken 7 will have an online tournament mode. This mode will allow players to set up and play each other online (Max of 8 players total per tournament) with a format used in actual offline tournaments. It supports single & double elimination brackets and includes player spectating and voice chat. In game prizes can also be allocated to the winners of the tournament with stuff like gold and items. US-ONLY: 15% Off Tekken 7 Pre-Order at Amazon

An interesting deal popped up today for people in the US. Amazon is right now shaving 15% off the full $60 price tag of Tekken 7 to anyone pre-ordering the game. No one knows how long the deal will last but this is a good chance for US gamers to get $9 off the initial price. I'm not sure what sort of pre-order bonuses will appear later on for those interested but you can always cancel your pre-order if something more intersting comes that tickles your fancy appear in the future. PS4 Tekken 7 Gameplay Videos Show Graphical Downgrade

Videos of the PS4 version of Tekken 7 emerged at Tokyo Game Show and it seems to confirm that the image quality of the console port took a hit on the overall image quality. A common thing you might have seen in arcade footage of Tekken 7 is lag during certain parts of stages (usually near the wall, it was really common to have lag during wall combos) and also just during places where hitsparks would come out. Those issues still appear in the PS4 gameplay videos. The official specs of the arcade board were never detailed so we didn't know how close the arcade version specs would match the PS4s but for now we can chalk this up as just being an early version of the PS4 port. With that said, Tekken 7 is still slated for Early 2017 and things may improve in the future for a version that will eventually be the one used in tournaments.
